Kansas City Chiefs Logo - Design and History

Image The Kansas City Chiefs are named after their then mayor, mayor H. Roe "Chief" Bartle. The mayor helped in moving the team from Dallas to Kansas City in 1963 and owner Lamar Hunt changed the team's name from Texans to Chiefs in his honor.
