What is Parikrama? "PARIKRAMA...It actually relates to a lot to what we all really believe in , that is 'KARMA'...I mean .....the circle of life...there are good times and then bad times but nothing stays for a long time..it is the belief in that which finaly got us to get this name...A name in which we all believed.." says Subir Malik the mostly topless ... Band Malik of Parikrama.

It is but a way of life for these six, going this way ever since that summer afternoon in Delhi. They named it PARIKRAMA (Hindi), literally, revolving around.. encircling. In essence, "KARMA"..., living our lives doing what one ought to, keeping to one's own chosen path, and back again. They suddenly existed ever since JUNE 17th, 1991 AD, Not exactly magic, though close to it. Most of them were either out of the same school, in to the same college, whistling similiar tunes, or sharing the same brain. It has been so, all these years, it probably will. Small wonder then, if you see the same old faces, drink the same old wine. It only keeps tasting better....and rockier. Especially the one's they dish out with that screeching violin, or the one that begins with about thirty odd fire crackers, in one bang and a million colors. Parikrama are a school of thought, that believe in, depend on, swear by, dream of, marvel at, ...live on, and off.. ROCK AND ROLL. You guessed it. They ARE a BAND, and they're INDIANS at that. And, of course, they happen to be the first ones of their kind on the 'net' (an Indian band that is). So it goes...and then the good God said to the plebians,"let there be ear plugs"!!

Parikrama needs no formal introduction to the rockers of India janta. Their original "Till I'm No One Again" featured on the GIR-I [RSJ magazine] and "But it rained" on GIR-V dedicated to the Kargil heroes, shows that they have the balls and are raring to go high...[ CAN INDIAN BANDS REALLY WRITE THESE KIND OF SONGS? ] PARIKRAMA stage presence are superb not forgetting their customs . PARIKRAMA has outdone Pink Floyd By Doing "another brick in the wall" more then PinkFloyd themselves. Now isnt that something? and hey, Yes ... they aRE an IndIan band.... that we are proud of.
