The Mystery Spot is a small but interesting tourist spot in Santa Cruz California. Its about an hour's drive from the Silicon Valley off Route 17. The drive up to the spot itself is nice and pretty with a nice view of some Redwood forests. Well, what is the Mystery Spot? Its a small circular area in the moutain, about 150 ft radius where you will find the natural laws of physics being defied. Balls will roll uphill, people will seem to shrink or grow taller, people start leaning are some examples. Sounds strange??

Well, whats the explaination? The tour-guides at the site will have
you stories that it might be due to a huge magnetic activity below the mystery spot, alien activity or any other reason. Well, no one really knows the answer and thats why its called the Mystery Spot. There are some scientists who seems to have an explaination about it. You can read about 2 of them below.

Theories: Flying saucer fans speculate that cones of metal were
secretly brought here and buried in our earth as guidance systems for their spacecraft. Other theories about what causes the Mystery Spot include carbon dioxide seeping out of the earth, the "highest dielectric biocosmic radiation" known anywhere in the world, and radiesthesia... whatever the cause is, it remains a mystery.

Tips on visiting the Mystery Spot:
- The cost of the ticket is $5. You need not buy it online, there is  typically no line there

- Try and visit it on a weekend where there is a larger audience. It makes the experience more entertaining.

- Try and go on a day when there is no rain predicted or else you will get wet.

- You can then move onto the 17-Mile Drive in Monterey from there
which is just about 35 miles away.

Check it out. It's situated on a slope. If you take a vehicle to the bottom and put it in neutral, your vehicle rolls to the top. Reply 0   0
