BMW Logo - Design and History

BMW stands for Bayerische Motoren Werke or Bavarian Motor Company. The company was established in 1913 and based in Munich, Germany. It started out as an aero engine manufacturer, hence the company logo. The logo comprised of four quadrants of alternating white and blue color. It is a stylized representation of an airplane propeller spinning against the clear blue sky. The logo represents a white propeller blade against a blue sky. It reflects the origins of BMW as a maker of military aircraft engines during WWI. Also, white and blue are the traditional colors of Bavaria.

Design and History of Car Logos

I have added a new category to the Logo section of the website. This new category will cover the design and history of car logos such as the Ferrari logo etc. Over the next few weeks, I will add new car logos to this website on a regular basis, starting with the Ferrari logo.

Grauman's Chinese Theatre opened over 70 years ago, with the 1927 debut of the original silent version of "King of Kings," produced by Cecil B. DeMille. Since then, the Chinese Theatre has been the site of more gala Hollywood movie premieres than any other theatre. (In 1939, for instance, over 10,000 spectators showed up for the world premiere of "The Wizard of Oz.)

Hollywood Walk of Fame

Hollywood, the place where dreams are made! We went to visit Hollywood this weekend for the first time since we moved to Los Angeles. Drove to Hollywood Blvd and parked at a parking lot close to the Roosevelt Hotel. I don't recommend parking at the parking lot next to the Chinese Theatre. Its way too busy and crowded. The first thing, we did was look at the stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The Fedex logo is one of the most recognized logos in the world. Fedex is in the business of getting your packages delivered overnight. Fedex pioneered a business that was deemed to be impossible. The Fedex logo itself is appears to

Is Google Adsense effective for Indian Sites?

Google Adsense is an advertising program for Google, where content publishers, bloggers and other site owners can display Google Ads on their websites. Google pays the website owner a commission when a visitor clicks through to an advertiser's site. I get a number of questions from users on the success of the program and other questions on Adsense as it relates to publishers from India.
